The above sketch was drawn by Aida for the 13 Arts ARTelier March challenge.  The photo is of my son and my grandson taken 17 years ago.  My son looks exactly the same, but my grandson is finishing up his freshman year at SIUE College - and he's now taller than my son - and they are both still very adorable!

These are my ATCs for the More Than Words March Mini challenge.  I've added the link under the MTW graphic to enable you to hop over and check out the challenge.

Thanks for taking a peek!

For this Dusty Attic challenge, I used the Dusty Attic Clock Face and Hands - 2 of the clocks out of the package.

I have used an old photo of my sister, Barb, on the right and my cousin, Gail, on the left.  They were born about 4 weeks apart. They are about 15 and 16 months old in this photo taken in 1949.

The link for the challenge is directly under the mood board graphic.

Thanks for taking a peek!

Hope everyone is ready for Easter tomorrow - it is suppose to be nice weather here.

This page is for the Blue Fern Studio March 2016 challenge, as well as the More Than Words March 2016 challenge.

For the Blue Fern Studio challenge, I used Timeless and Serenity papers, as well as Iron Works 2 pieces.

For the More Than Words challenge, my page is covered with gesso, and I used the word Bliss.

I have added the links under each challenge's graphic to give you a quick jump to that page.

Thanks for taking a peek!

This is my page for the Prima BAP for March.  All products are Prima/Finnabair - except for a butterfly punch used.

Thanks for taking a peek!

Angels are Among Us

Hi All - today I am here with my altered piece for the 13 Arts Challenge 40 - Angels.  Below is a photo of how the piece looked prior to my alterations:

As you can see, it was just gold and black on both sides with a plain black base.

Here are a few more photos.  I normally don't use a flash - but I couldn't get a good shot of the colors, hence, the flash.

I used a combination of 13 Arts products and Finnabair products.  I used 13 Arts Black Gesso to cover the whole piece, but I watered it down a bit so that a bit of the gold would show.  I used many of Aida's paints and under the silver heart, is a beautiful metal silver piece I purchased from her store.  I also colored sections of Aida's net/doily pieces.  The metal pieces are from The Flying Unicorn and Finnabair and the flowers were just from a miscellaneous box. The back side of the wings aren't embellished - they are plain, but colored a deep purple over the black gesso.

I had a great time altering these wings.  At first, I was going to alter them in pastels - but I'm pretty sure there are angels out there that like the darker colors!

C'est Magnifique March 2016 "Butterfly Garden" Kit

The beautiful Ces't Magnifique March 2016 kit Butterfly Garden has beautiful Blue Fern Studio Timeless collection, as well as flowers, embellishments, chippies, mixed media paints and sprays - so much!

I completed 4 layouts this month, as well as altering the Off the Page project - a wooden icon box - it was great fun and I liked the way it came out.  I also did a tag - which I believe is the last photo below.

From my personal stash, I used Beacon's 3 in 1 adhesive, a punch and a few small flowers.  I also used a few ephemera photos from Finnabair.

Thanks for stopping by and be sure and check out the most gorgeous Butterfly Garden kit from the C'est Magnifique shop.
